The LeveLuk SD501 is approved as a Medical Device by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, license number 27B2X00070, issued February 1, 2006.
Per the Japanese Ministry of Labour and Welfare, the LeveLuk SD501 produces true medical-grade 2.5 pH Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) and true 11.5 pH Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) electrolysis ionized water as a result of the saline solution stored in the removable electrolysis enhancer tank. In various Japanese hospitals acidic Kangen™ water is used to treat skin conditions and for other health reasons.
Other brands are not capable of making these kinds of water, restricting the pH range and antioxidant value, because they do not use an electrolysis conductivity enhancer (saline solution).

The Leveluk Super 501 uses two separate hoses respectively to create generous quantities of Kangen Water and Strong Acidic Water. One hose exclusively generates the acidic disinfectant and cosmetics water, while the other hose dispenses the drinking and strong Kangen waters used for degreasing and washing fruits and vegetables.
